STATEMENT ON WORK
Anonymous notes don’t conform to conventional good manners, grammar, or even legibility. They are spontaneous expressions of someone’s true feelings, and for that reason I find them appealing. They conjure up a variety of imagined back-stories; I can add my own details and scenarios to the sparse information given. Most of the time I imagine the worst.
